Neuropsychological Assessments
Neuropsychological Assessments are led by objective and certified medical professionals to provide a detailed opinion about an examinee’s cognitive functions.
Examinees are treated with respect and courtesy as physicians assess visio-spatial functions to judge impairments in visual perception and constructional abilities. Physicians also focus on determining overall perception. This is the process of acquiring, processing, interpreting, selecting, and organizing sensory information. Sensory functions include touching, smelling, hearing, seeing, and tasting.
Neuropsychological Assessments also involve testing:
- Memory functionality
- Information processing speed
- Abstract reasoning
- Problem solving
- Planning and prioritizing
- Attention and concentration spans, with emphasis on dividing focus between tasks
